Wellspring provides comprehensive, supportive services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault as well as to their friends and family. Many times, a good place to start is to assess to determine if abuse has occurred. Wellspring’s victim advocates are available 24-hours via our hotline (518-584-8188) to provide information and education about the dynamics of relationship and/or sexual abuse, the common reactions to abuse, and ways to get help or to give help. Additionally, some of our sister organizations have great resources to help people identify if abuse has occurred:
- For people who may be a victim of relationship or sexual abuse:
- For the friends, family, and loved ones of someone who may be a victim of relationship and sexual abuse:
An individual does not have to be physically injured to receive services from Wellspring. Our goal is to not only to respond to victimization that has occurred but also to intervene to prevent future victimization.
Domestic violence and sexual assault are complex issues. Wellspring staff are available to help individuals process their experience so they can determine what is right for themselves.
