Social Norming

Meet KESHI, here to talk about what social norms are, and how challenging them sometimes can be a good thing. This video can be a great conversation starter as you talk to teens and young adults who are joining new communities.

KESHI’s goal:
Keeping
Everyone
Safe
Healthy and
Informed

This video is the latest piece in our work to help change the way society thinks about issues like relationship and sexual abuse. This video focuses on ‘social norms,’ and how challenging them can help keep people safe. We’ll be using it in local high schools and college campuses this year as part of our social change and prevention programs.

Consent:

Consent is an agreement between participants to engage in sexual activity. There are many ways to give consent  Consent doesn’t have to be verbal, but verbally agreeing to different sexual activities can help both you and your partner respect each other’s boundaries. Learn more about to talk about consent, and how it relates to both boys and girls at our Consent Page.

Infographics:

At Wellspring, we believe that education and prevention are essential to stopping relationship violence and sexual assault.  Every year we give presentations to more than 6,500 students in Saratoga County schools.  We believe it’s important keep up with the times, which means to help reach them, it’s important to use media they use.  This is why we are investing in videos and infographics that can be shared across social media.
